Using Rapid Override

Rapid Override is used to override the current quantity of an item. Entering a quantity on the Rapid Override page will replace the original quantity with the entered quantity.

If you instead want to add to the existing quantity, use Rapid Restock.

To monitor or change the quantity of an inventory item, the item must be a product that has been configured as stockable on the Edit Catalog Item page.

Overriding an Item Quantity

To override an item's quantity:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Inventory > Rapid Override.
  2. Enter either the item UPC in the UPC field or the date the item was created in the Created Date field and click Retrieve Items.

    1. Click Search at the bottom of the page.
    2. Enter the appropriate search criteria and click Search.
    3. Check the box for each item you want to restock.
    4. Click OK.
  3. In the Quantity field for the item, enter the quantity with which you are replacing the existing quantity.
For example, if the Current Quantity is 20 and you enter "5" in the Quantity field, this will change the quantity to 5.
  4. In the Unit Cost field for the item, enter the individual cost at which the item was purchased from the vendor.
  5. From the Vendor drop-down menu for the item, select the vendor from whom the item was purchased.
  6. Click Save.
