Change Summary:
- We have enabled DataTrak to work in Chromium-based browsers and support Google Chrome, and updated Hardware Services accordingly.
- A preview will now be displayed in DataTrak for signatures performed on the VeriFone device.
- We have made some DataTrak-related hardware compatible with Chromium-based browsers.
Chromium-Based Browser Support
We have enabled DataTrak to work in modern Chromium-based browsers. DataTrak will still run in Internet Explorer as before.
Since ActiveX is only supported by Internet Explorer, WebSockets replace this functionality when DataTrak is opened in a Chromium-based browser.
As of Hardware Services version 2.7.1, Hardware Services can now communicate with the WebSocket protocol for hardware services browser integration while remaining backwards compatible with the ActiveX protocol.
The following chart shows the web ports used by Hardware Services and the EMV service.

VeriFone Signature Preview
The Verifone device will now allow a preview to be displayed in DataTrak after the member creates a signature and clicks OK. An example of this signature preview is shown below.
